Re: friends

Very nice Hazel, really enjoyed that. It makes a change not to see anything nasty with animals playing with each other.

Re: friends

My friend has 4 cats 3 she's 1 he, Snowey had 3 kittens 3 wks ago all doing very nicely till last Thursday when they vanished, no panic don't feed any cats and they'll come looking for food and kits will cry. Sat quietly and waited sure enough kittens cried he finally located them but instead of 3 there were now 7 since Pus Tat had given birth, and either she or Snowey had moved older kits and they are now one big happy group of 9, waiting to see what happens with Sheba now. Pus Tat is Snowey's Mum and helped rear Sheba who is Snowey's kitten from last year. Tiger who is deemed to be the culprit has kept a low profile. He found homes for all of them last year hope he does again, cept he didn't think Sheba was happy in her new home so he took her back again and she's fine with him.

Oh dear, why doesn't your friend have his cats neutered, Hazel? The Rescues are full of unwanted kittens in need of good homes.

cos he's a raving lunatic, they aren't actually his cats, they're another friend's who couldn't keep the original one cos council had no pets policy. Idiot thought since female was indoor cat that would be fine, while her brother was there too?? I damned nearly castrated never mind neutered him ,the friend not cat cos the same thing happened last year. He does actually find homes for them all, one was taken 40 miles away cos he re homed her 2 miles away and it took her a day to find her way home, not bad for kitten, he thinks she didn't like the existing cat so her new home is with an elderly lady with no other pets. He's got homes for 2 up to now, and as soon as poss the adult females are being done, his friend's taking them.

I'm glad he finds homes for them How does he manage with an unneutered tom in the house .... then tend to spray everywhere and that smells awful!
