Doggerel is poetry that is irregular in rhythm and in rhyme, often deliberately for burlesque or comic effect. The word is derived from the Middle English doggerel

Oh, Oh (I982)
My girl and I amble a country lane,
moo cows chomping daisies, our own
sweet saliva green with grass stems.
Look, look," she says at the crossing,
the choo-choo's light is on." And sure
enough, right smack dab in the middle
of maple dappled summer sunlight
is the lit headlight--so funny.
An arm waves to US from the black window.
We wave gaily to the arm. "When I hear
trains at night I dream of being president,"
I say dreamily. "And me first lady," she
says loyally. So when the last boxcars,
named after wonderful, faraway places,
and the caboose chuckle by we look
eagerly to the road ahead. And there,
poised and growling, are fifty Hell's Angels.

Very nice RJ, how do you know which line is which and where to put in the comma's and full stops?, maybe that's the secret of good Doggerel?

Erel was his middle name
He could pee on three legs
or stand on three pegs
did it so much he went lame - dog gone it!

he road into town doggoned tired
just needed a drink this gun hired
stopped at the saloon; the doggerel saloon
goddamit I hope they don't fight!

he ordered a shot from the bar
a good bourbon on rocks with 4 star
he asked what is this stuff that can make some men blush
they said why it's doggerel 4 star on the rocks

he asked them what town am I in
it seems just too friendly like sin
they say well sure mister it's Doggerel popn 500
And sheriff Doggerel will kill ya; can't win

he slept for the night in guest house
the "Doggerel Hi Yinks" quiet as mouse
he was up before dawn saddled up and was gawn
I'm not messing with Doggerels again!

Just requires a few spelling errors and dod gee grama and the apos tr fee police will b innn seventh hea van.
