The Mint with the hole.

Apparently this kind of thing often happens when a new coin is released, there are a few teething problems .Unfortunately we now have social media and people who use it to make something out of nothing. Also those who use a number of methods to try to make a new coin look 'different' in the mistaken believe it will be 'collectable '

Oh dear how awful. I couldn't understand why they were doing this when it's going to cost so much to change all the cash machines, parking meters etc. But I guess it must be easy to substitute the existing pound coin with a token.I wonder if the Royal Mint pay for mistakes by printing more money....
