The Mint with the hole.

So now the Royal Mint are seemingly incapable of producing currency coins without hundreds of faults and lacking sufficient inspection these faulty coins are being released as tender.

Re: The Mint with the hole.

Apparently this kind of thing often happens when a new coin is released, there are a few teething problems .

Unfortunately we now have social media and people who use it to make something out of nothing. Also those who use a number of methods to try to make a new coin look 'different' in the mistaken believe it will be 'collectable '

Hi

You can emigrate to the EU Purwell and take your pension with you.

I am sure you would be much happier there.

Not had one yet, doubt whether it will stop counterfeiters for long.

Re: The Mint with the hole.

Oh dear how awful. I couldn't understand why they were doing this when it's going to cost so much to change all the cash machines, parking meters etc. But I guess it must be easy to substitute the existing pound coin with a token.

I wonder if the Royal Mint pay for mistakes by printing more money....
