A thread about "Threads"

Anybody here seen that 1984 BBC television film, "Threads"? I'm just watching it now, (again), and I can't help but think the same threat exists today, 33 years later.

Might not be the Russians this time, but then again it might. If the wrong people get nuclear capabilities, the scenario of "Threads" could well become a reality.

It's been about 60 years since the last "brink". The little distractions in Iran and Iraq were just that - distractions. The next crisis is definitely overdue.

What say you?

I remember it well Jimmy, quite harrowing for its time. Others like it included When The Wind Blows.

Dont feel much has changed.

Its a sad fact we are very much in the same scenario that this could easily become a reality, even after all these years.

I read a lot of post apocolyptic fiction but it usually has more hope to it than this forum these days it's being so cheerful keeps us sane.
