Proud Uncle Terry

My Nephew, Josh.

After having a rebellious streak tamed he took Unc's advice.

He's enrolled at AFC(Army Foundation College)Harrogate.

He's a good lad that went off the rails and now he's coming good.

All young lads should start this way.....My daughters boyfriend joined the guards when he left school....He left home a snivelling excuse for a human being, and came back a proper gent....and a Man.

She married another bloke though and now is divorced....Should have chose the army guy.....
Well that was twenty years ago and is doing alright now....

I think he'll make a good soldier...if he's half as good as I was he'll do well. joking, of course.

He'll be at Harrogate for at least a year, if I'm not mistaken.

He's been orienteering all last weekend, first time staying out in tents.

I loved it, my first time out, under canvas...cooks working away to get the grub ready, early morning dew and the smell of damp gear, shaving in tepid water...great for a young lad.
