What did you do on Independence Day?

We took a drive to Tavistock and had a wander around the old pannier market, then drove across the Moors to Widecombe-In-The-Moor where we had a very nice cream tea.

Trip to the old home town in perfect weather, sat in he park listening to great sounds, and chatted with passers by, not one of which mentioned the referendum.

Had a pint with an old friend.....a bricky that was my first employee and who stuck with me through thick and thin whilst I tried to build my business.

I now make a point of seeing him every week....he was diagnosed with terminal cancer last month

Sorry to hear that Tpin. I'm sure your weekly meets will be good for him.

Re: What did you do on Independence Day?

Got up early and thought `oh shit` Then waited for a friend to take me shopping-she was late. Go to Morrisons while she went to Lidl, she was late again so spend 30 mins chatting to dog rescue ladies and giving some dogs a cuddle. Get home and my girlfriend popped in for a few minutes, hello stranger I must get a photograph of you as I see you so rarely. Eat supper, play bridge and just before bed check my accounts-the damage was not too bad. Go to bed thinking politics may get interesting

Hi

Worked through the night, then off to hospital to have my heart reset.

Back home and on here, working again, but with a Junior Colleague here all night.

Boring or what?

Re: What did you do on Independence Day?

Went out into the bay on a beautiful old fishing boat with friends at 6pm , motored to Tyneham bay , dropped anchor , opened the champagne set up the delicious picnic and celebrated friends birthday and EU exit , the waves were choppy , the views stunning , laughed and sang until time to return to the harbour , sailing into the sunset and silver lined clouds . Entered the beautiful harbour and sat drinking a few more glasses of wine .

That's the way to do it ( as Mr punch would say )

Business as usual for me really. Library visit, Morrisons shop, down to allotment for a quick visit.
