Hi

China is the bully boy here, threatening much smaller nations.

Uncle Joe labels it as Imperialism.

Strange that he was so supportive of the Communist Russians ruling Eastern Europe , even posted that he went to Russia during this time.

The Imperialist Communists ruled of course by complete subjugation of the masses by their ruthless Secret Police.

Good on America for taking a stand and helping the little guy.

I would not call it American Imperialism, its called a political Chess game. One move creates another and another till you dominate the board. Wait ! That does sound like world domination, doesn't it ? Look at it this way, Joe. Its best to be dominated by the Americans than by China

And why should they not Joe boy, they have a legal right. Will you be happy if Putin builds a island of Brighton for military gain and we encourage it by not sending ships though the English Channel?

What's your point? I travelled all through the Soviet Union and its satellite countries during the Cold War myself. Funny that every time I travelled to the U.S. the customs/immigration/passport control made a big issue over the Communist visas in my passport .... yet not a single Communist country raised the slightest eyebrow over the fact that I had even more visas from Capitalist countries.

That's just a blanket statement Uncle Joe. Since this is the DISCUSSIONS thread perhaps you could give us a clue as to what part of this you are wishing to discuss? One can not form a discussion or debate unless you put forward some kind of view or argument. A statement such as :

"The sun rises tomorrow at 6.00am"

does not establish any platform for discussion.

Could you perhaps frame your post more towards a debate/discussion structure?
