Hi

Thanks for that Eliza, sounds like another rip off to get people to buy over priced cartridges.

Re: HP Printers Rejecting

I've had my HP wireless printer for approximately 8 or 9 years now, maybe longer, but it has always refused to work with "compatible" cartridges. It just comes up with a message on the screen saying "we have detected a none HP cartridge" or something similar, that's it, it quite simply doesn't work. I gave
in a long time ago and only use the HP cartridges, 4 of them cost me 52 euros.

That's why I only now buy Epson. Compatable carts are so much cheaper, and they work.
I have owned HP printers in the past, and even the compatable carts were not much cheaper than originals.

Try simply re-filling the actual HP cartridges using a cheap kit

Re: HP Printers Rejecting

I got over this by making sure one of the cartridges was an original. I gave up using a printer years ago, for competitions used a printing outfit that produced very high quality prints at large sizes.

But a small print shop at my local supermarket produces very good photos up to A4 size.
