I have never really believed in BMI - its Textbook guidance and doesn't take into account an individuals natural body. Going by their measurements I should be under 7 stone, but I'm not. I did get there once but it wasn't at healthy for me - I looked really ill and had no energy.Re: Bmi

BMI is just an average guide and nothing more, but personally I think it worth trying to keep within the parameters if possible. My BMI at the moment is 25.3, so I'm going to try and lose four or five more pounds as I've got a bit of a "spare tyre" anyway, which I really ought to lose.Re: Bmi
BMI does not seem to take into account that as we age our metabolism slows so it's easier to put on weight. Also as we age our height reduces so the height to weight ratio used for assessing BMI will probably be inaccurate.
