Re: Acacia tree
Hi Julie remember the Mimosa plant that you were writing about a year ago and I found on Amazon. Well although you found out that they may well be poison to pets. I did a bit of checking and yes the plants that have seed pods are known to drop on the floor and dogs can probably eat a bone or something nearby and the seed could get into the stomach that way.
Anyways I looked up the other Mimosa's and found that there are some that do not have seed pods but very tiny yellow flowers that are easy to clean up afterwards.
My Jack Russell plays around it all the time
Well I ordered one and after nearly a year in the pot and also it was outside in that cold winter with no cover, so they don't need to be moved indoors it is now blooming beautifully.
In some countrys its a pest and grows everywhere the pods fall.
Oh and this is very bushy not solid enough to be a tree at present perhaps that will come in time.
I am sorry I cannot post a picture and it is not through lack of trying.
Anyways just like to say I have now got another connection through Amazon again and this nursery if far far cheaper so I may well order a few more for the front of the house or maybe the sun roof where it gets really hot.
