Yes I've done that before but not while they are in their case and that's missing too so they must be in that.

Right, so you've checked your handbag, coat pockets and bedside table - right??? - glove box in the car??? Grace's school bag??? under your bed??? Under settee or chairs???

Yep I'm about to check the dog beds and blankets, our little Betty has been known to pinch things but I can't really see how she'd manage a glasses case that's a bit big for a 5lb chihuahua !
