I have been pondering over the leaves of your plant, which look like they are in sets of five?

The only other thing I can think of is a baby Horse Chesnut tree. These have the 5 leaves, although that still doesn't look quite right.
The pointed looking bud still looks like the Rhode family to me.
See what you think anyway:

P.S. Lovely garden by the way.
Mups, Thanks for your comment about my garden.

I don’t think it is a Horse Chestnut as the leaves are quite small.
The buds on my plant are more round than pointed.

Hi Tachyon, Long time no hear! I hope you’re keeping well.

The trouble with the apps l have tried, is that they want you to agree to stuff. Did the app, you used request the same?

I am totally flummoxed. But looking forward to seeing what flowers from that bud.

Here are some more pics of the yellow flower that is coming out a bit more. Could it be some sort of Mimosa?
The pics seem almost identical!

Re: I Don’t Suppose Anyone Knows What This Plant Is?

I've pondered for a couple of days over this and I think it is a variety of ranunculus Artangel. (A member of the buttercup family). There's about 500 varieties and yours could be a wild one or a cultivar. Some of the cultivars are very brightly coloured.
