Norwich "Happy Brexit day" letter of hate
This horrible incident has soured the "coming together" aspect of post-Brexit Britain. Some "unhappy-with-life" individual posted a letter on doors of flats in a Norwich estate. The text which included the following :
"We do not tolerate people speaking other languages than English in the flats.
We are now our own country again and the Queen's English is the spoken tongue here.
If you do want to speak whatever is the mother tongue of the country you came from then we suggest you return to that place and return your flat to the council so they can let British people live here and we can return to what was normality before you infected this once great island."
The local community has now come together to say that everyone is welcome. But are they? Clearly not if someone was motivated to this act of hate.
What do others think given that Brexit was not meant to be a racist cause? What do they mean by "infected"? What is a "true patriot"? Is there an false version?
Worth noting that the letter has poor grammar, punctuation and typos.
