Brexit Day Bill from EU?
UK recieved a £1B surcharge invoice from the EU on brexit day?
I have been trying to unravel how this bill was generated, and it
seems that if a member countries GNI (gross national income)
goes up during the current year, then the eu imposes a surcharge
on that country, which is then supposedly shared amongst the
the other member states! Apparently the UK is in this position?
Conversely, if a member countries GNI goes down, then that
country recieves a rebate?
This is a complex system sometimes involving paying into and
also recieving from the system in the same year??
I hope we actually have managed to uncouple ourselves from this
tangle of bureaucracy and confusion!
Donkeyman!
