I agree with all who said country children are more helpful & confident, but those children on the farm have been taught from a very early age to respect their parents, be helpful & that has turned them into confident people. How many town/city children get the same opportunities to help on farms with any job going, or on the land, very few if any. Those parents, but not all, don't seem to have time for their own children, too busy either working all hours in jobs the children couldn't help with or just wanting their children out of their sight. We seem to have a few of the later two, here also now. Which is sad as this used to be a lovely village.Re: Farming families on tv!

I think that kids living in the country are just not so reliant on the internet. BB is sketchy , we only had dial up speeds until two years ago so gaming and streaming were a no no. They are also reliant on the family for friendships as they get bused into schools and living remotely means theres no just popping around to a friends house. Kids here have to still make their own entertainment, out in the fields, swimming in rivers, fishing and hunting and ridingRe: Farming families on tv!
