Well, ultimately someone has to be on the ground else bombing won't do sod all. Bombing alone won't achieve much of anything. Bombing weakens but it doesn't take over. Whatever land is freed needs to be occupied after. Surely this is part of the plan?

These Pesch Merga sound ideal for this role.

I wish they would call them Daesh some commentators are catching on slowly but the big ones don't. They hate being called Daesh so that is good enough for me and sets them apart from the peaceful Islamic religion I know.

What plan??? - apart from extending the bombing mission into Syria and showing solidarity with the other dozen countries, Cameron doesn't have a plan. Least of all does he have an exit strategy.

Well, to me there is a plan.

You can't take over anything by bombing. You can stop hostilities if you completely blitz the place but the land can easily become as bad as it was before.

There is war being fought - one side against another. One lot is pushing forward claiming land whilst the other loses land etc. The opposing forces are already there - Syria Rebels - Assad and so on. Bombing is an aid to an army it is not a solution. Should one side be weakened sufficiently then the other can move forward again. Do we really need another lot of armed forces thrown into the mix?

It's a big mess and can only get messier unless we have a plan of action and a clear objective and exit strategy. Cameron has none of that unless he is not telling us, and if he is not telling us he has only himself to blame if we say no.

He can't very well tell us his plans, unless he does so in 'code'

Sounds to me like some people are saying that if the civilians are getting killed anyway it won't matter if we blow a few more up! These are human beings, it's not a video game!
What happened to the SAS? Don't any of the coalition forces have any of that type of soldier any more?
If they can use cameras to find archaeological sites can't they use them to find where these people are hiding? Then send in special forces to rout them out.
Or is that too simple?

But he isn't even saying he has a plan is the problem, listening to the Army spokesmen they are as worried as we are about that.

True - can see those that support bombing cringing in some bunker if a country decided to bomb us because we have terrorists living here ! Try those shoes for size
