I agree with Muddy there is no doubt the families are aggrieved, however it is the lot of a soldier to do his governments bidding. Error occur and most of them accept that and are philosophical about it. I am as sure as you can be at these times but I also believe TB believed the arguments for war he was putting forward

I am sure this is not the case, but you appear to be looking for revenge not justice because as you say you loathe the man.

Re: Chilcot Report

Did we really go to war on the basis of the film 'The Rock' ???

If its true, its hilarious, were it not so tragic.

Perhaps those wise Rusians should have taken note before attacking the Ukraine or diving into Syria then. The truth is it suited them to put obstacles in the way of the US.

I think bliar has to pay some price, its not like he disappeared into obscurity after this he has profitted out of the mess too, seemingly making millions. Im not a hang them type of person but if anyone deserved punishment he does.

BLiar is only interested in one thing: money and status. Oh, that's two. His wife is equally obnoxious... in my humble opinion.

Re: Chilcot Report

All our leaders, those that have taken us to war, are probably guilty of 'war crimes' if we are willing to dig deep enough.

Should they all be prosecuted?
Is it in our countries best interest to prosecute Bliar?
Does it open us up to further attacks by those that will use it to justify their bloodlust?

Some thing are just best left alone, imho.

Thats a worrying point. Although france refused to go to war and has suffered worst from reprisals so im not entirely sure how they work out who to attack, so it may be ok.

Look at France' history in Muslim countries.
It's bloody war in Algeria for example.
It's use of economic and her military to intervene in Africa and the near-east to protect her national interests.
France doesn't have a good track record in Africa.

Then there was the emergence of the far right National Front.

And so on.
