Yes, yuk I hate slugs.
Well, my peas are growing Tiny shoots are showing, this a first time crop for me.
Still disappointed with my runner beans only seven growing and still not halfway up a cane, tho' some are in flower We have the same amount of French beans and they are flowering too and about a foot tall!
But I still love gardening
I'm very jealous of you gooseberries Barry

Need to do a bit of jiggling around in the fruit/veg border but it will all have to wait 'til next year now
(dare I say this, we need some rain - my three water butts are almost empty)
I have a raspberry ripening on my yellow raspberries, it is red ... I'm going back to the garden centre soon and will have a word, see if any one else has had the same problem. The label on it is too far down and would have to be cut off, so I cannot see it being done for a joke.
Bit like buying a puppy and it not being the breed you thought it was, I like the plant, I'm not exchanging it

You lucky woman, my blessed things have got a virus so I doubt I will be eating any raspberries red or yellow

Re: The Gardening Year 2013

Hello I had beautiful potted plants, yellow snapdragons, fuscia & pink dianthus, celosias, etc & the intense heat we'd had for a couple of weeks killed everything

I watered them quite a bit but nothing saved them.

Stores pretty much quit selling annuals shortly after the season begins so I'm out of luck now.

Oh, sorry to hear you've lost your plants - I'm sure you could find a garden shop with some flowers. Probably some geraniums - they'll take the heat
