Or this

“I like your opera. I think I will set it to music.”
Composer Ludwig van Beethoven, slapping another composer to the curb.

Hello Young Robert, you have been really missed.
I have that book, here beside me.
I posted some quotes the other day.

Here is another for you.

Re: Leisurely Scribbles (part 5)

The bit about the Pigs gathering straws into their mouths a few pages back reminded me of a friend of mine who worked in a big hotel here in Dublin in the 70’s.
Lee Marvin was staying in the hotel while they were filming a few scenes in town, Marvin was a devil for the drink so in order to keep him sober they had him stay in his room with the door locked until they needed him.
Marvin rang the desk and asked for my mate by name, he got him to bring up a bottle of Jack Daniels and a few straws, when he got to the door with the gargle Marvin supped half of the bottle through a straw inserted into the keyhole while my mate held the bottle to the door, when he had enough he pushed a fifty dollar bill back out to my waiter friend. When the crew called for Marvin he was in great form and the filming was completed without a hitch. True story.

Though he was born under a wandering Star, he couldn’t resist the lure of the jar.

"The prettiest Girl I ever saw, was sipping cider through a straw" wasn't that a song?

Not sure yet...but may be popping back to Shetland for a while.
Seems the little ar~ewipes I have to call cousins have been attempting to break the law again. I really do NOT need this cr4p-they're in charge of the estates,so why the HELL do they want more. Time to snap some bones,methinks...

Re: Leisurely Scribbles (part 5)

Yes,again.
I GAVE those greedy bars...ds managership of one estate each-but it seems that isn't enough. The free house, free power, free rates, free vehicle that goes with their jobs isn't,it seems, enough.

So SOD it...this time, they FACE me.
And I just might/likely will,sack the PAIR of them,Sweetie.
I've had enough of being the absent boss...so F*CK it,I'm heading back.

[I'll email you later,hon]

I would take it if you gave me the whole bloody island - now the lost Isle of St Kilda is more to my likin!

I tink we'll likely make this the valentine tribute!
