He wants to punish women who have abortions, now I'm very anti abortion but it's not the women's fault, he is feared by gay people as he has said he will repeal many laws that make their lives more equal with heterosexual couples.

Sorry, did I miss one.....He wants to scrap same sex marriage.......YES YES YESI do however disagree with him on abortion..I think it is the best way forward in some circumstances....
But Hey! one out of seven aint' bad....

Edited to add, response to Julie1962 re: abortionI believe his VP Pence has reworded that, they will punish those who carry out abortions, all the pre-election rhetoric and promises are now being binned. His comments about Muslims have disappeared.
He is quickly learning the art of being a politician, lie to get into power, break your promises and blame the previous incumbent.

Yes it harms society Julie. I'm not saying Gay people can't live together and take out a civil partnership and love each other, but they have got more rights than you or I have.....They can get married but you can't take out a civil partnership.
