Re: Bike ride

Well done for getting the job done in spite of the setbacks. A nice thing to have for taking the strain but also good to ride an ordinary bike once in a while to keep the muscles in trim.

The ordinary bike can still be good for the nice weather when purely out for the ride, rather than just a necessary ride to the shops etc.

Spitty’s got an electric two wheeler

Seriously, may you get many long hours of cycling pleasure in the coming years.

Re: Bike ride

Watched this yesterday, was amazed at the cycling provision in the USA, what they are doing is probably illegal there as well, this is Irvine, Orange County, you would get a right rounds of F..Ks, off the Dog Walkers, Joggers etc over here.

Wish these were out in 73.

Re: Bike ride

No tracks like that here. Some places have separate cycling and walking routes. Virginia Waters (part of Windsor Great Park) has separate cycling and walking routes. Also Swinley Forest and Alice Holt. I don't think they'd be for the type of bikes shown in the video though.

£1,695 for one of those and there are dealers in the UK. That is cheap compared to many others.

Re: Bike ride

The one I built has similar performance and range, but is based on a standard none suspension Mountain Bike. It can be used to its potential but, is rather dangerous in comparison to the Super73s. In the video, apart from the intentional dirt track riding, all those miles of surfaced track did not seem to have one pothole, you would be lucky to get half a mile of surface over here, in an area where you would not upset anyone is neigh on impossible.

Got my eye on one of those Sur-Ron Bikes, a tad expensive though.

Re: Bike ride

Been looking on YouTube a bit lately mart, its easy to forget that without the restriction loop plugged in, it is technically illegal to ride (in public place) the bike I have already created, but, at least it blends in. I have yet to see anyone riding one of these speciality machines, especially the one with foot pegs not peddles, which are effectively electric motorcycles, these are prolific in the States by the look of it, and the riders pay scant regard to wearing proper protective clothing.
