My partner and I live 30 miles apart, so send a couple of texts a day, then speak on the phone in the evening. I have to admit there's nothing more rude than having a conversation with someone who is constantly looking or texting on their mobile grrrrr.

The only reason I carry a cell phone is call roadside service when I have car trouble. Other than that, I was quite happy with my cordless at home.

Me too - my mobile - when I manage to arm-wrestle it away from the cat - lives in my handbag. I have £16 credit on it that has been there at least a year. When I am out - I am out. I don't want want people calling and asking where I am or wanting to chat when I am in a shop/out for a walk/having a coffee with friends etc., etc.,
