Re: Any book ideas
Some good ideas there for me to look at. I'm not afraid of books and toys for different genders as long as the opposite gender are allowed to use them too, I had a male cousin loved my sindy doll as a child but he wasn't allowed one of his own, that always made me sad, he grew up still wanting his own sindy doll !Re: Any book ideas
I must admit I'm more than a bit out of touch with children's and teenager's books, but how about Arthur Ransome - Swallows and Amazons, and so onRe: Any book ideas
She read swallows and amazons a while ago and enjoyed it in a historical sort of way, could quite get her head around parents allowing children to go off on their own like that. Same happened with famous five books she liked them but it was like a different world to her.Re: Any book ideas
As you have implied that she is quite capable for her age, how about something practicalRe: Any book ideas
I'll look into them all but not the more practical ones as she isn't able to ride a bike yet with her weak left side from her stroke a while ago. So it's not really fair to put things out there she won't be able to use really. Obviously if she showed an interest we'd do it but she isn't really interested in what she can't do more about what she can do well and what's going to be possible next. Horses etc she's just learning about because next summer she is going to take a course at a local stable for disabled kids.
