The trouble is that anti-Semitism has been excused by claims that being anti-Israel is not the same as being anti-Jew. However there is an association between anti Semitic and anti Israel attitudes.
The stronger the hostility to Israel the stronger is anti Semitic feeling .
In Britain this is represented by anti Semitic feelings in two groups the Muslims and the Left .
Most ordinary people have no problem with Israel it does us no harm at all.
Left wing Israel-bashers tend to be closet anti semties .
And Jew hatred is unfortunately a fact in Muslim society
They base their convictions on lies propaganda and double standards, ( i.e. Israel is an apartheid state and they are trying to wipe out the Palestinians )

I am very anti-Israel, NOT Anti-Semite. I abhor the land grabs that Israel are conducting, which has nothing to do with their religious views.

As an atheist I care not about anyone's religious views, how one deals with and lives with one's fellow man should be the priority.

As for the biased articles written in the Daily Wail, they are not worth the paper they are written on, and this goes for all the media. None are unbiased.

Jeremy is being accused of anti-semitism because he failed to attend a 'Friends if Israel' meeting. On an idealogical basis he has every right to refuse that invitation - neither he (or indeed I) am a friend of Israel, I reject entirely the policy of the Israeli Government and detest the very sight of their Prime Minister - Benjamin Netanyahu.
