We received our notification on 18th November last year and it was paid into the bank a week or two after that.

I think you have to claim it first time round then there after you get it each year paid into your bank account. try Gov website

Thanks for that. It seems to suggest that if you are getting a pension, you will get the fuel allowance automatically.
My very long outstanding started in March.........so am hoping to get this too!!!

I usually get the notification letter after it's been paid in.
(I'm very annoyed I didn't get the council's Christmas meal outing this year - by ballot and the first time I qualified).
edf have sent me an email now saying my payment is due so will read the meter, send in the readings and get the bill updated.
