I'm uneasy/uncomfortable around dogs; very bad experience in childhood and several as an adult.

That is sad to hear-there are no `bad` dogs-just bad owners. They spoil it for everyone

I prefer dogs, we do have two cats as well Basenjis are also cat like, once described as half angel half cat

I'm a dog person and have always been although when we were young we always seemed to have cats in the house-my sister used to bring home all the waifs and strays!!!

I think I should amend my original post to say "uneasy/uncomfortable" around strange dogs. I get along fine with my friend's JR and another's Pom; I know they're not going to bite or jump up and slobber. They know me and I'm comfortable with them. It's the ones that lunge on their leads and snarl at you that scare me.

Im more of a cat person,,seems less hassle..but I do make a monthly contribution to Dogs Trust..tc
