Re: A missunderstood child or cold blooded killer?

He's dangerous and is where he belongs. I heard the family of the teacher on the news yesterday and their reaction to the sentence. Their comments were simply, "it makes no difference to our lives".

Theirs are the only voices that touch my heart, not how long he spends inside

If he killed any of my close family members or friends for that matter I would think the sentence to light. I would want his head but we all know that the system is to soft on nutters .
Whoever made these laws of light sentences in my opinion never had a close one murdered by scum like this kid.
Personally I would be very happy to hear that he got his comeuppance and meets up with one of his own kind in jail and is gutted from throat to bowel and never allowed to walk in the sunlight again.
It will certainly save the taxpayer a lot of money.

We all know that if he walks free he will kill again.

Re: A missunderstood child or cold blooded killer?

Regarding the sentencing. He has been given 20 years before he would
be considered for release. This means that during the 20 years in prison or hospital he will be assessed and a large dossier will be made about his reactions. I am sure in 20 years the children of Anne will still be alive to
give their reaction of her killing and what it meant to them for 20 years
The Ripper only got 30 years before consideration and he is still in Broadmoor and never coming out. I think by what I have read he will never change so therefore although I wont be alive to see it I don't think he will be out in 20 years, just reassessed and left where he is.

I was listening to a report on the news this morning about this lad and the fact that he made no response to the charges or looked contrite at the sentencing. Only that he was sorry he did not get to the other teachers that he wanted to kill.

They were saying that there is part of his brain that does not function properly, what ever that means, I suppose they are not going to know for sure until after he is dead and they can have a good look.

I think we all know people who lack empathy this was taken to a new level with this boy, I doubt it is something physical missing he has for some reason not developed empathy and the notion of right from wrong. I am not sure prison is the right place now sounds like he needs a mental health facility.

Couldn't agree more.

I think it is safe to assume that this boy will end-up in either Broadmoor or Rampton Hospital just as soon he turns 18 and locked away for ever. The life that awaits him is explained in the link. http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2...itution-prison

That makes me feel sad for him, no winners in this situation everyone is serving a sentence in one way or another.

I will never feel sad for him Julie - I see no difference between him and the ISIS murderers who love what they do ..........Some people progress that way and no amount of trying to change them will work ......

Re: A missunderstood child or cold blooded killer?

I couldn't feel sadness for him, there are millions of people with mental health problems. They don't all go around killing people, that must be an innate evil in a person.

However along with the victims family, I feel for his family. They will probably have to leave the area and maybe get new identities. And why; what have they done?
