I have a lovely half photo of my mum with an unattached hand resting around her waist. My granddad had a very nice hand.

Photoshop Elements can be downloaded as a 'trial' version. You could then do the deed without having to pay anything. When, after a month or whatever the trial period is, they ask for payment you just don't bother. All that will happen will be that the software will cease to work, but you've got your picture by then!

Those links will not load on an iPad.
The answer is Art, is to download the pic to your PC or laptop, if you have one, edit it with most photo progs will let you do this, (I still used Coral draw). Then load it back to the iPad.

I have tried downloading the recommended sites but l just get a pop up message saying they are not suitable for iPad! My phone is an iPhone so l suppose, l'd get the same message on there too?

Yes Emjay, you're right about them not loading onto iPad. My desktop is on its last legs, so l don't think l could download anything on there! It won't even let me write an email, no letters show when l type!!
