Re: Microwave ovens

Sorry Philip, I seem pretty useless one way or another!

Just had a thought - could a minor power cut, perhaps during the night, have upset it?

Re: Microwave ovens

Hi

Microwaves will not work unless the door is properly closed, it is often a door catch issue.

Re: Microwave ovens

Mups try typing the make/model /'won't come on' into Google and see if other users have a similar problem.

I have a Panasonic microwave with a large switch that is pressed to open the door. I have had issues with it sticking, then it won't turn on.
One day the whole switch fell off , it is just a plastic panel with a spring behind. I managed to work out how to put it back on and it has worked fine since

...and conveniently about the same as frequency as your wifi except a 1000 times (give or take) more powerful.

Thanks - I'd heard that which seemed daft! These low microwave frequencies are used for the ubiquitous short range microwave that is so widespread nowadays such as WiFi, BlueTooth and later mobile phones.
