Re: How do you handle conflict?

I agree that if you disagree on some things it doesn't mean you dislike the person, not at all. \it would be very boring if we all agreed all of the time.

I just read that back.... oh well I know what I mean

Re: How do you handle conflict?

Hi

I have been an Enforcement Officer for many years.

I avoid conflict wherever possible.

It really is not worth the hassle.

When push comes to shove, and the prats are abusing those I am paid to protect,I meet it head on and do not give an inch.

Personally I am not bothered by it, personal abuse I can take in spades.

Threaten my family and those I was paid to protect and I am the worst nightmare you could imagine.

I can live with that.

I am a good man on day to day things, nothing riles me.

I will simply walk away,I am not proud,I do not respond to any form of verbal abuse at all.

Violence,or threats of violence against innocents, and I am not nice at all.

I am a complete nightmare to them.

I can live with it.

But you were probably trained to respond in certain ways Swims, most of us just react emotionally... well I do.

Hi

That is true Summer.

It helps that I am not an especially proud man anyway and I just let the verbals go past.

What is the point of reacting to verbals?

Nothing at all,it just brings you down to their level, which is not where I want to be.

They make a move and such is life.

They lose,I win,it is not Rocket Science.

If anyone threatens you, they are not a Professional.

Mossad and Spetsnaz terrify me, pillocks do not.

Maybe you are getting to know us all better. It takes us all a little time to settle in, but when you do it starts to feel a bit like home

Twink, It sounds like you’re saying, if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em!!

I suppose, that we don’t know each other personally, doesn’t help. We are all just names on a page!
