Re: Britain's Got Talent

I now sky box this programme and quickly buzz through adverts and judges daft goings on, makes the programme about 20 mins lol. Have to say have not watched last nights yet, but I can recall, oh blimey, decades ago, seeing Liberace in his show, (or it may have been Royal command ?) singing/reciting Impossible Dream and dedicating it to a young fan who had cancer or leukaemia or somesuch, and I remember crying as he did it so beautifully. This was years before I ever saw the Man from le Mancha .

I don't see it on my side of the pond but I'll check youtube in a day or two as someone will likely post it. Thanks for the heads up...

Yes, it was beautiful and very moving. Such a surprise too, to hear such a deep voice from a young chap who seemed shy and unsure of himself. Sadly, they probably won't win.

I think they get better talent on that programme than on X-factor .

Re: Britain's Got Talent

Hey eccles (has anyone asked you to "put the kettle on" yet?), saying about deep voices, my son and I were at my mothers funeral, he was about 13 and a half, time came for the hymn and I heard this voice, o.m.g., it did not come from his boots, it came from 'below' his boots. People around him just turned to see where it was coming from. Sadly despite moving down here to the valleys not long after, I have been unable to persuade him that a bass voice of such strength would be gold to a decent choir he refuses to even consider the idea.
