MEG ~ I have always plucked their ears right from puppyhood, but the trouble with this particular one is the depth the hair is growing from. The vet said how unusual it was to root that far down too. The other two's ears are nothing like it. I think I will have to get some different forceps. Fingers are o.k. when its near the entrance, but not much help for delving deeper. Any suggestions Meg?
Hi Mups I use finger and thumb and wide tweezers (rather than pointy ones) . A few of the hairs go very deep but are still near the entrance and I don't have to delve into the ear for them. They are usually darker in colour rather than white fluff.
It is nice having dogs which don't shed even though they require regular trimming

I reckon I ought to enquire how much it would cost to send her by courier up to you for grooming Meg. You'd probably make a better job of it than I seem to.

I love Bedlingtons but, never having owned one, did not realise that they had such problems. Glad to know your little one is OK now.

Thanks ST. Still got some more out of her left ear last night, even after the vet had cleaned it! Got some anti-biotic drops to use for a few days now. I just wish I could sort this out for her, she's such an uncomplaining little sweetheart.
