I use a mobile phone and Skype but prefer to use a landline phone when possible. I reckon the sound quality is better, so I'd always have one installed. Our package with Virgin Media includes all UK landline calls at no further cost.

I'm hopeless at texting. Friends and relatives know this and will call my mobile phone for a proper talk if I'm away from home, rather than send a text message and expect one back.

Doesn't surprise me. The number of times people don't look where they're going and nearly push me over because they're so busy texting.

My partner watched a fellow in a bicycle take a nasty fall while trying to text and ride up the street. His phone smashed into several pieces when it hit the road. Wonder if he was cured of he habit...
