Re: Mark's Poems & Prose

will this help?

A carcinogenic night club called "mets in the Liver'

he was a lonely old cell carcinoma
lived in the lungs all his life
he desperately wanted a family
some young ones attached with a wife
he'd heard a wild rumour on grape vine
that there were other around this wild place
and your size didn't count for disbarment
if you could find were they met; the right place
so he searched high and low through the highways
of the arteries, veins and the caps........
occasionally dropped by a lymph node
but met no one who matched with his stats
and then just by chance was invited
to a spleen removal farewell
and someone asked are you looking?
and he said you bet like sure as hell
they pulled him closer and whispered
I have a friend of mine in the brain
who was in the same sort of dilemma
wanted a wife to give her his name
the cell carcinoma excited; his nucleus starting to quiver
he asked did he get one and were did he met her?
they said " a place called 'mets in the liver’

Women & Computers!

Have you ever tried to help a woman
Who has no idea about what she is doan (poetic license)
On a computer and is totally out of her head
Totally confused unable to take in a word you said?

Well I have and let me tell you it is vexing
Taxing, perplexing and downright exhausting
But out of the goodness of my heart I persist
In giving words of wisdom and always resist
The urge to scream and shout
Or to give a much needed clout
No, not me, I is patient you see
An angel is me

Is Love Sublime?

You say you love me , but ‘not IN love’
Cannot live without me, need me all the time
Oh what a love sublime!

You crave me day and night
Feel lonely, cry for love
But criticize and ‘put me right’
You say we are as one; Oh what love sublime?

You say you’re often bored, and want me to excite
Take you dancing and romancing
Carry you home in the wee hours
And tuck you safely in: Oh what love sublime?

you say you love me, but ‘not IN love’
I don’t know what you mean, how can it be
Perhaps you love to see me puzzled and confused
Is this love sublime?

And yet at times you have your rage
When my eyes stray from your form
Rest on others adorn, you pout and demand my love
Is this love sublime?

You say those other words, devoted, cherished, mine
But ‘not IN love, is love so blind?
Does love just stifle hearts, and swamp all thoughts of ME
Does love demand allegiance to stay and never flee?

Is love conditioned on what I give and you give back
Something to be rationed out and paid for with a sign
Of gratitude and humbleness, does this make love sublime?

I think the bird has flown and isn’t coming back
The cage looked shiny from outside but crippled her inside
She felt the air rush by, the cobwebs brush away
The sun felt good upon her locks, Ah now is love sublime!

Re: Mark's Poems & Prose

I may have posted this elsewhere on here - the mind grows fertile with the confusing days - thought it might be up Marks alley?

Secluded Glades

He struggled with the words
As they tumbled in his head
They made perfect sense whilst up there
But once on paper bled

His world seemed 'purrfectcally' sane
But then the white men came again
And said he'd stayed away to long
His tranquilizer home had gone

'But I feel so normal now he shrieked
And my poetry is just so neat
Just let me stay an eon more
And let this insane world hear more!'

'We understand your plaintive cry
They whispered as they began to tie
The straight jacket'round and'round
Now just relax, don't make a sound'

'When you return to 'Secluded Glades'
With all your friends in unmarked graves
They'll understand your splintered views
And welcome you and all your news'

'So leave behind this greying world
Where people work and drink and shirk
And let your fertile mind flow free
As you embrace, I, me and mine!'

Mark My Words!

No good will come of this
You are already
A ‘marked’ wo/man
And the kiss of death is his!

They seek him here ; they seek him there
But Marko’s not found anywhere
Is he in Heaven or in Hell
Or, just a pussy down the well

They say that he has knobbly knees
And shows the ladies just please
A hanging gut has made them sore
He’ll go bike riding no more!

Old father Time has ‘marked’ him well
A balance of fitness and unwell
Can he recover it in time?
Only with a balance mind!

crosses the arms - daggers or pistols at dawn Sir?
