I met my Wife in a singles club called Making Friends in Northampton.
That was my lucky night!

Met my late husband in the street one evening. We were both art students *groan* and had friends in common.
It was a few years before we actually got together.

He died two and a half years ago and I met my new guy on the internet, by accident, May/June last year ...

It's a year ago today that we started emailing each other

Good for you Rachel! I've always said to my wife if anything happens to me never be alone. I saw it when my Dad died and also when my brother died. Neither Mum or my lovely sister in law ever re-married or even bothered to meet anyone else. I suppose after 52 years together my wife would find it difficult to replace me...maybe a large Teddy Bear...what would you suggest a suitable replacement? Careful now I know where you live!!

Like you say EZ 52 years is a hell of a lot of years. I wouldn't want to be alone but a companion of some sort to talk to, to watch films with, to eat with, to go out with, ok I have just described my dog.
