Re: Chilcot Report

I'm always minded one persons terrorist can be another's freedom fighter, if we don't talk not much left but violence and I think we have enough of that we need to talk more not less and possibly to people we don't like more than to friends.

Re: Chilcot Report

One persons terrorist is much like another persons terrorist .
When you blow up a restaurant or shopping centre as is the favoured target of cowardly terrorist groups such as Hamas or the IRA take your pick it does not advance the cause of 'freedom' in any way.

It seems to have worked for Israel. The terrorist activities of the Irgun and the Stern Gang played a big part in the establishment of the Israeli state.
As Julie says it is unfortunately true that one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. It all depends whether you win or not. The winners tend to write history in their own favour.

That's right hit out at Israel a tiny country that has done more for the world than all these terrorist scum holes put together.

Do your comments also include the Stern gang, whose leader (Begum) later became Israeli Prime Minister, but who in 1948, led the gang that blew up King David's hotel in Jerusalem, killing a number of British personnel???

Re: Chilcot Report

Anyway, the Chilcot Report, no doubt there will be a few copies around collecting dust on some barristers bookshelf next year at this time and that will be the end of it.....Unless of course we have another inquiry...
If this country spent as much time looking forward as it does looking back what a great nation it would be....

Not "hitting out" at Israel, simply pointing out historical fact. Are you saying terrorism is OK as long as it is carried out in the interests of a country you approve of?

Well thankfully the journalists seem to have had a pre publication sight of the key finds and this is the bbc digest.
