Re: Scottish Referendum.

You seem to get very excited when people express their own opinions.

The voters have been pushed into having a yes/no on independance and it seems to me a question that is difficult to answer.
Should Scotland be an Independant country? Maybe, but do you want it to be the independant country that is being proposed by Salmond et al?
I don't.

Re: Scottish Referendum.

I'm not politically minded at all. Infact I'm rubbish at it!! I love my beautiful country and never tire of it and feel very proud to have been born here. However, I'd hate us to go it alone and then end up in a terrible state of affairs. It would be wonderful if it all worked out well, but there are unanswered questions that have to be answered NOW.

Re: Scottish Referendum.

The Scottish people were not asked to approve the question. They are simply being asked if the county should be independant. It is quite possisle to support the principle of independance, but not the specifics that are being offered.

So what does one do? (That's rhetorical by the way). Vote No and possibly miss a golden opportunity. Vote Yes and then attempt to change the party in power at the next election.

Or.. Not vote at all ???

I don't see these as exciting times. I see them as frightening.

Yes GW, and you're not the only one that finds them frightening.

Re: Scottish Referendum.

I have no strong feelings one way or another, but something substantial needs to happen at the end of the process, to justify our ears being rattled for so long. The most likely result is that nothing conclusive will come of it and we will all rattle along like before.

This Vote is nothing to do with Alex Salmond. It's about Scotland breaking free from Westminster. I disagree with a lot of what Alex Salmond thinks but I still want to be free of Westminster rule. SNP could easily be voted out next year at Election Time, but whoever gets in will govern Scotland and not be Puppets for Westminster's rules.
