You may be right in this case does sound like they preferred not to see it.

Re: MP Naz Shah calls for calm after Police shooting

He was described today as "an office clerk." I read a comment today where someone said that office clerks all over the country must be wondering what they're doing wrong if they don't own a Lamborghini.

I was looking at the Justice for Whatever his name is page on Facebook and naturally they're all saying the police are racists and he's a wonderful person. YEah, right.

Hi

Interestingly, it is one of the other occupants of the car that has been charged with possession of the gun found in the car.

A loaded semi automatic pistol fitted with a silencer.

Not the sort of gun one normally associates with Clay Pigeons.

There is only one use for it, killing people.

If the gun was in the front and it was the passenger's and the police felt the level of force needed was lethal then my betting is they had intelligence suggesting a crime was imminent.

I wonder whether we're heading for more stupid reactions.

What I mean is, a soldier was recently jailed for shooting dead a terrorist. It wouldn't surprise me if a policeman is jailed for shooting dead an armed drug dealer.

The powers that be are playing a dangerous game. What on earth would they do if they suddenly found that no servicemen and no policepersons were willing to carry arms out of fear of prosecution?

Maybe if the prosecutors themselves, were in imminent danger, and the police or army just stood and watched instead of stepping in to save their life, these prosecutors might well view things differently.

I look forward to seeing that happening. I sincerely hope it does. This country needs a damned good shake-up.
