Many of our Blackbirds are also migrants at this time of year. I often see them coming in off the sea with the different thrushes in Autumn. They are partial to a bit of fruit.



Its good folks are feeding them, many wont survive this harsh cold snap.

Funny you should say that Nom, about not surviving I mean.
I had a lot of busy little birds around the feeders at the start of this cold spell, but nowhere near as many the last day or two.
I did wonder if some hadn't made it through the cold nights.

Lots of Fieldfare and redwings about, fb British Bird Lovers page buzzing with photos. None in my garden though
Running out of bird food now, I hope to get to the shops tomorrow!
Lots of people mention that they fight with blackbirds!

I haven’t had many birds in the garden for a few weeks now. I thought it could be because we seem to have a resident robin who is always swooping and attacking any bird going near the feeders

Well I have loads of food here for the birds, I feed them twice a day sometimes more.
