To be clear, in the final count, Popular Vote for Donald Trump was 62,979,879

Popular vote for Hillary Clinton 65,844,954

Plus there were about 7 million votes for third party candidates.

However, in America, it is what is called the electoral vote that determines the outcome and Trump got more electoral votes, thus he will be the president:
