the BOSS listens carefully to all the input and by doing so weighs up all opinion and at the same time can also detect those staff who are set in their old ways and not interested in new ways and modern styles [notes are made at this point!]

then having had a full discussion he/she ends the discussion and says 'well I'll go off and sleep on it and then make an 'executive decision' based on listening to all your views - thank you!!' He/she then makes the decision that he/she thinks will be best for the organisation despite possible opposition!

Go for it Azz!!

What a patronising post.

We are certainly not staff and it isn't our place of work, it has nothing to do with that type of situation as far as I'm concerned.
I also agree with others who say what is the point of asking our opinion if it will not be listened to? Is it just courtesy, knowing the decision has already been made?
If there are a couple of people 'for' it and 99 against, the answer seems obvious to me.

Seems logical enough to me as well Julie.

I was referring to Gumbud being patronising - not Azz.

I know you where

Don't tend to agree with Gumbud most of the time but he made a fair point that to my mind was not patronising.

Re: Would you like a new homepage and 'News' section?

I understood you first time SA - seems that many here cannot understand plain English!

Azz is the boss around here or at least one of them? - and if you just do a bit of lateral thinking you will see that we are all members [staff] and therefore contribute to how this forum functions - in fact without any of us it would be dead surely? so we are sort of 'staffing' it are we not?

but we are not allowed and this is the crucial point - not allowed to run it - so our opinions can be sort and listened to and then ignored if necessary - that's all that is happening - sit back - relax - smoke a joint and enjoy yaselves!!
