She just felt that Coronation street was her home and where her friends lived. After all she had never known her son, so he was almost a stranger, and I am sure I would not want to move to the other side of the world, with a stranger that I hardly knew... even if I had given birth to him.
He will be a good reason for her to take long breaks from the series though... when she goes on holiday to visit him.

She saw how upset Norris was when they said goodbye. She went to the airport but later there was a knock on Norris's door and there she stood. "How can I leave all my friends" she said and they hugged.

Huh - you'd think at least she'd have gone for a holiday wouldn't you?

Rhian-my granddaughter gave birth to a baby girl on Monday,so now I'm a "Hen Mamgu".
Thought the acting in that heartbreaking scene on Corrie was really good.

Let me guess: a 'hen mamgu' = a mother hen?
