I think personality is more important than looks. What's the point being with someone who is amazingly good looking but has no soul and is not on the same wavelength as you.
My parents were considered very good looking. When I was about 12, I remember an older girl asking me if I could provide her with a photo of my father, so she could put it on her bedroom wall! I didn't oblige.
Often a different set of posters respond to a similar thread, in the same way an age old thread is often revived but new posters respond to the same topic with fresh views.
The thing is you don't know what someone's personality is like unless you get to know them.
Usually people are attracted by looks first or chemistry of some sort.
Sometimes chesmistry is electric .
I remember a man I knew slightly many years ago ( nothing in it at all ) but instant chemistry was so great even thinking about it makes my toes curl
