Skin

There is a program on TV showing people with a huge weight problem. What i was wondering is if they loose a tremendous amout of fat, what happens to the excess skin? Does it roll up in waves on the body? perish the thought. Does it shrink ? or is it cut off and used as a seat cover?

Re: Skin

It hangs down like an empty flap. Though they look good in clothes they look horrendous without them.
They have to pay lots of money for surgery to have it trimmed off and stitched together again. It involves repositioning the belly button, nipples etc.

Goodness knows what would happen if they put the weight on again - I wonder if the skin would burst.

Urgh - it doesn't bear thinking about!!!

Re: Skin

Carol is right. The only way to get rid of it is to have it surgically removed.
