No, one is my son's dog and one mine, both rescue dogs which had a rough time, so we are reluctant to leave them with strangers (a neighbour will walk them). Also my son and his wife are both working on Wednesday.

It is the weather which is a worry, twenty miles of country roads to reach the motorway, and then coping with the M40, M25 and M23. Then back again....

Terry, heart felt condolences

Remember your mum as she once was, try to get past the past year.

Your mum no doubt loved and cared for you as much as you did her

Take care of yourself these coming weeks.

We(my big sis and I)are taking comfort from the fact we were both there, by her side at the hospital.

Just before she died I'd gone to the local garage for a couple of coffees.
Shortly after, her breathing(she was on oxygen and semi-conscious) deteriorated substantially. My sis told her to hang on as I'd be back shortly...my sis knew what was coming next and prayed I'd be back in time.

When I returned she smiled and died 2 minutes later.
I found that incredibly moving - smiling at you both before she left. She felt at peace.

Oh Terry, I'm so sorry to hear about your mum. She sounded such a very brave spirited lady and such a fighter. Take comfort knowing you had such a wonderful relationship with her. It's time for her to rest now.
Sending heartfelt sympathies to you and your family.
Take comfort that she'll always be with you.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mum.
They always seem to manage everything, including smiles at the very end.
