You need to do your research LindyLoo. Most of what you have heard is complete Billy BS.
For example:
Fracking does NOT damage water tables. The fracking action is many miles beneath the surface. It is not possible for the fracking chemicals to make their way back up hill to affect water tables.
What HAS happened in the past is chemicals stored on site have been accidentally spilled (or sabotaged) and that can obviously affect water tables. But that is NO DIFFERENT to any industry that is using chemicals. The eco-warriers (stooges for large energy conglomerates) just use such info to mislead ignorant villagers.
Fracking DOES NOT result in gas coming out of your water taps. The video showing that is showing methane and is a complete mislead.
Fracking can cause very minor earth tremors. The typical house by a main road will experience tremors many times more powerful every time an articulated lorry drives past.
There are lots of different solutions for the safe disposal of fracking waste water. Eco warriers are unlikely to come clean about that.
At the end of the day, the UK, as a country, as a nation, needs to harness all of the valuable resources it has. The more self-sufficient the UK can be the better it will be for citizens. Currently we are held by the short and curlies by foreign energy moguls who sell us their energy for a huge premium. We have to find ways to rid ourselves of that dependency. Fracking is one such way.
The large energy conglomerates will do anything and everything to prevent the UK becoming self-sufficient. They will employ eco-warriers to spread misinformation and incite local communities to action, using the age old "Campaign of Fear" tactics to do so. Telling people their tap water will be contaminated, their houses will suffer earthquakes and much much more. It's all quite despicable really but your average "Vicar of Dibley" stupefied community laps up such disinformation like honey and then engage in long term activism and congratulate themselves on every minor victory they achieve, all the while oblivious to the fact that they are damaging the country and preventing us from breaking away from our "druggie" dependence on foreign energy. Of course the same idiots will complain endlessly about the cost of their energy bills every winter too! This is what a life of soaps and reality TV does to a nation.
We MUST get fracking. The sooner the better.
