Shrinkflation!

So you may have noticed everything is getting smaller, but prices are the same. Well they have a term for this phenomenon : Shrinkflation!

So if you don't think you're spending more you will find that you're spending it more often. Think we are being conned? Then you're right.

Or encouraged to lose weight? Seems to apply mainly to treat foods, not basic essentials.

If you look at prices per 100g or whatever, you can tell if you are being "conned".

Some of them are trying to avoid putting up prices others trying to cut sugar. I've not seem anything can't live without getting smaller it's biscuits and sweets etc.

It's funny how they never print a starburst on the packaging saying 'NOW SMALLER.'

You would be surprised "or not" what can shrink in cold weather.

Re: Shrinkflation!

I haven't noticed any items getting smaller but then if you don't buy ready made products and select your own produce it can't
The solution is in your own hands.

Got to agree with you there Meg

I don't think i noticed shrinkflation until buying some treats at Christmas But then those things are treats, not everyday food
