waiting yet again

Every eye appointment I have gets cancelled at least three times even though the first one is when the eye specialist says I need it.

I am sure the appointment section of the hospital don't co- ordinate with those who do the examinations

Ok emergencies take priority but three times at least with evey booked appointment is stretching creadability a bit far

Re: waiting yet again

I’m not sure what types of emergencies they could get with eyes. People trying to gouge/poke out other peoples’ eyes perhaps?

Sorry to hear that realspeed ... as if it all wasn't stressful enough.

My husband's hospital appointment has been
cancelled 3 times already, it's now due on 19th Feb and we keep expecting to find another letter in the post for yet another cancellation

Re: waiting yet again

That’s bad luck - I can confirm from the other side that procedures are often cancelled or delayed also.

Re: waiting yet again

Well look at Tpins eye thread.
He has had a detached retina operation cancelled - TWICE this week!

And what's more, he didn't even get told until he got to the hospital! No phone call, nothing.

*

Ffosse, you asked what sort of emergencies might occur with eyes - well one of Tpins cancellations was because a girl got kicked in the face by her horse!
And what about people who get dangerous liquids in their eyes, or air gun pellets, or get punched or mugged . . . there could be loads of emergencies with eyes I should think.

Yes, it happens sometimes unfortunately.
I just had a scan cancelled as I was in the shower getting ready to go. They said that was due to staff sickness.
