Re: The dark web

All I know is that it is encrypted. Not a place any decent people would want to know much about.

Re: The dark web

Just Google How To Access The Dark Web...

http://www.independent.co.uk/life-st...-a7047041.html

https://darkwebnews.com/help-advice/access-dark-web/

The basic rule of thumb is that while the phrases 'Dark Web' or 'Deep Web' are typically used by tabloid newspapers to refer to dangerous secret online worlds, the 'Dark Internet' is a boring place where scientists store raw data for research...

It's that time around 5;30 when you are not sure whether to turn the lights on or not because you can't see the keyboard.

Re: The dark web

Actually, I'm reading a book at the moment which includes the Dark Web quite a lot in the story. A known villain is gradually being deleted from all computer records. A hacker, deletes all record of his bank accounts, utility bills and car tax payments, resulting in his car being crushed for non-payment.

I believe that hackers used to do what they do just to show off to their peers but now it has become big business.

Of course, the more we hear about it, the more people will be using it.

Thank you ruthio, that explains a lot. I had imagined a physical place they way the papers carry on about it.

Re: The dark web

I thought it was perhaps a place where there are things like extreme porn, paedophiles, and terrorist bomb-making websites and such?
Really a place best to keep well away from.
