I agree. He has a cool tactical head. Basically protecting Russian interests but no worse than the US sucking up to Israel.

A complication arises though. I believe Russia has just signed a new deal with Syria to extend their naval bases to cement Russian assets and access to the Med.
The US has recently signed a new deal to fund Israel to the tune of billions of financial aid to bolster the Israel military.
Tit for tat in terms of safeguarding ME interests.

Turkey is bent on eradicating the Kurds ... Assad has agreed to help the Kurds repel the Turks ( no idea what Putin thinks). The US is in bed with Israel and perhaps too distracted to worry about it all.

I'm amazed Assad has time to worry about his own Civil War with all this going on in Syria.

Re: Syrian War

One thing you won't see mentioned is the thousands of Syrians treated by Israeli medics throughout the conflict .
They come across the Israeli border treatment
However even the Independant has reported on this !

I buy that theory. It's pretty well established that Israel have been funding the Syrian rebels more overtly along with their chums the US ... though Israels has been a deepening involvement as the Syrian Civil war appears to be drawing to a conclusion. Initially they just confined themselves to providing medical aid to the displaced.

Yes, and it won't end there. Yemen in the throws of it too and next on the list, the big one Iran. Supporters of Syria and hated by Israel.

Cant understand exactly what the 'Arab -Israel Conflict' is referring too when Israel is so bloody marvellous.
They won't have refugee camps for Syrians in Israel though.

It's a political panto.

Putin is your Panto villain that is booed and hissed.

Yet he's the only one with the balls to do something about it.
